South African fighter Mzwanele Kompolo has died after he was knocked out in the first round of a fight in Frere.  Kompolo collapsed in the ring after being beaten by Siphenathi Qampi in the Eastern Cape and went into a coma. Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula said: “It is indeed sad to hear of this news involving the passing of this young upcoming athlete.”

West Ham United have reportedly made a £6m transfer bid for Chelsea winger Victor Moses. The Hammers are keen to bring the 24-year-old to Upton Park as he has struggled to break into the first team at Stamford Bridge.

Boxer Manny Pacquiao and his fight promoters have been hit with a class action lawsuit by people who claim he screwed fans, Pay-per-view buyers and gamblers out of serious money by not disclosing his shoulder injury before the Mayweather fight. Manny Pacquiao, his manager and promoter were sued Tuesday by two fight fans who are seeking class-action damages because the boxer and his handlers failed to disclose that his right shoulder was injured before his fight Saturday against Floyd Mayweather Jr.

  Late last year, radio personality Kelly Mac interviewed outspoken and undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather. The boxer confessed that he has a “good heart,” but that he does not feel obligated to give to charities, specifically in Africa. “[People] say ‘well, he got all this money, why is he not giving to Africa?’” starts Mayweather.
