Chris Brown arrested gain for assault barely 1.5 years after his probation
Chris Brown won’t stop, can’t stop being Chris Brown.
The world’s
best dad/Coachella party crasher took to his fists in Vegas over the
weekend, where he allegedly punched an unidentified man at a basketball
game—barely one month after a judge ended his probation for assaulting
then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. Now he’s facing
prosecution—again—and I can’t help but ask: why does every headline
about Chris Brown read like something
straight out of The Onion, only painfully real?
Brown had apparently just finished playing a basketball game and maybe assaulting someone at the Palms early Monday morning, when police responded to the scene around 3:42 am.
Via the Hollywood Reporter:
The R&B singer was identified as the man who allegedly assaulted another adult male during a basketball game at Palms Casino Resort, according to the Las Vegas police. The man was treated for non-life threatening injuries, which were sustained after a verbal spat lead to a physical fight.According to the LVMPD, Brown wasn’t the only man who assaulted the victim. After the first hit, “the victim prepared to defend himself and was then hit by another male reportedly with Brown,” the Vegas police’s press release stated.
Vegas
police are reportedly waiting to see if Brown—who has been off probation
for two whole months—pleads guilty to the misdemeanor or proceeds to a
trail.
