Teenager Abducted And Raped By Motorcyclist

18-year-old motorcyclist, Maro Ashake, who allegedly abducted and raped a 15-year-old girl has been arrested by police and arraigned in court. He was brought before a Chief Magistrates’ Court, Yaba, Lagos, on two counts of abduction and rape.

The incident was said to have occurred at Oko Afo, Badagry, Lagos, penultimate Wednesday. It was learnt that the victim, had just finished her secondary school education and was attending computer training classes before the incident.

On the fateful day, the victim’s mother was said to have taken her younger sibling to school, while her father was away at work. She was said to have left her parents’ house under the guise of going for her computer class. Her mother, who on her arrival did not find her daughter at home, decided to check her at the computer school.

She was nowhere to be found when her mother got to where she claimed she was going. It was learnt that the victim’s father alerted the police when he could not find his daughter. Eventually, she did not return home until eight days after she left the house.

The victim and Ashake were said to be in a relationship. It was said that the day she was discovered missing, she had gone to her boyfriend’s house, but hid in Ashake’s friend’s house.

Ashake was subsequently arrested by the police and arraigned in the court. The adjourned the matter till August 10, 2015.
