The Police in Lagos said they had arrested nine more suspects in connection with the murder of a four-year old boy in Ijaniki area of the State. Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Patricia Amadin, made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos. Amadin said the suspects were arrested following a confessional statement by the teenage suspect in police custody, adding that detectives were on the trail of other fleeing suspects.

A two-meter long piece of debris washed up on La Reunion Island off the southeastern African coast, fueling speculation that it could be a part of missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, which vanished after taking off from Kuala Lumpur in March 2014. A man, identified as Paul Nwokobia, allegedly poured acid on his ex-lover, Rosemary Nnaife, in the Surulere, Lagos state.  Nwokobia, who was arrested by policemen from the Itire division, was apprehended along with three of his friends, who were identified as accomplices. It was learnt that Rosemary, whose head to waist was damaged by the acid, was presently receiving treatment at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba. Nwokobia, said to be a job seeker, met Rosemary in 2011, and the duo had been courting until September 2014 when they separated.

Yahya Jabaly is a 3-year-old boy from Morocco, who was born without eyes, a nose or an upper jaw because his skull bones failed to fuse in the womb and doctors didn't expect him to survive long after birth. Luckily, the doctors were wrong, and now, Jabaly has completed a life-changing surgery. A photo of the little boy was posted on Facebook to try and find someone who was willing to help reconstruct his face, after Jabaly's parents desperately, and unsuccessfully searched for a surgeon who would operate on their son and it worked.

18-year-old motorcyclist, Maro Ashake, who allegedly abducted and raped a 15-year-old girl has been arrested by police and arraigned in court. He was brought before a Chief Magistrates’ Court, Yaba, Lagos, on two counts of abduction and rape. The incident was said to have occurred at Oko Afo, Badagry, Lagos, penultimate Wednesday. It was learnt that the victim, had just finished her secondary school education and was attending computer training classes before the incident.
